Secret RF is a microneedling treatment that improves signs of aging skin, fine lines, wrinkles, and scars by using microneedles to deliver fractional Radio Frequency (RF) energy. Unlike other devices which only deposit energy in the upper layer of the skin, Secret RF delivers RF energy below the surface where it is needed the most to help revitalize and regenerate the tissue into varying levels of the skin. This unique delivery of energy ensures optimal results on all skin types.
Microneedling RF addresses the full spectrum of anti-aging concerns in patients of all skin types and all year long. Either alone or combined with other technology.
Secret RF is an easy, safe and effective procedure that can be performed in a quick, 20-minute treatment session. 2MHZ Bipolar Fractional microneedling reduces discomfort or minimizes damage to the skin surface. It uses 64 or 25 pinheads that can deliver the RF to varying adjustable depth in the dermis from 0.5-3.5mm. It also has insulated & semi insulated needle tips that adds to its customizable safety profile.
To achieve the optimal effect, 3-4 Secret RF treatments are recommended, spaced 4-6 weeks apart. You’ll start to notice results after your second treatment, but optimal results appear 3 months after the last treatment.
The multi-layered targeted treatment is tailored to each individual to address their unique skin concern. Results vary based on the individual. To maintain results, maintenance treatments are recommended every 12-18 months.
During the treatment, you will feel a slight heating and some pressure on the treatment area. For most patients, the treatment is tolerable but your physician will work with you to maximize your comfort level. Prior to the procedure, your provider will apply a numbing cream to the treatment area to increase comfort during the treatment.
After the treatment, an ointment will be applied to the skin and you will be asked to refrain from wearing make up for several hours. Any minor redness or swelling resulting from treatment will subside within 12-24 hours. After the treatment, you can expect to return to normal activities.
Microneedling RF can be preceded by IPL/Limelight or can be followed by other resurfacing technologies at NCMC. Both Alma Opus Plasma Lasa and the Cutera Pearl fusion can be employed to offer comprehensive skin resurfacing addressing surface photodamage, along with deep dermal remodeling through the radiofrequency microneedling technology.

This is usually a stand-alone treatment. Additional treatments may be necessary if we are targeting deep wrinkles, scars & acne scars.
Recovery can vary from one week to four depending on the setting. The first few days are more intense when you stay home. Following that you can resume your daily activity.
These procedures are only a guide. The treatment can be customizable within the same session to fit individual needs and different areas in the face, neck, or body.
The forehead might require mild laser peel for rejuvenation while the perioral region might require moderate to advanced settings to wipe away deep wrinkles.
