Perimenopause

Women can begin to experience the symptoms associated with perimenopause as early as age 35. Women tend to begin the transition into menopause around the same age when their mother or another female relative did. However, genetic and environmental factors also play a significant role in when the transition begins. Symptoms of perimenopause are the result of decreasing hormone levels. Supplementing with prescription-strength bioidentical hormones (estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and pregnenolone) can improve the following symptoms:

  • Irregular menstruation
  • Heavier or lighter flow
  • Mood swings, irritability, depression, anxiety
  • PMS
  • Hot flashes, night sweats
  • Insomnia
  • Weight gain, fluid retention, bloating
  • Headaches, migraines
  • Low libido
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Urinary incontinence

Menopause

Symptoms of menopause are a common frustration among middle-aged women. Menopause symptoms include hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disturbances, depression, mood swings, low libido, fatigue, vaginal dryness, poor concentration, and unexplained weight gain.  Supplementing with bioidentical hormones such as progesterone, estrogen, testosterone, and pregnenolone is a therapeutic means of alleviating these symptoms.
